On June 27 the MODIS instrument NASA's Terra satellite captured this visible light image of Tropical Storm 02A over the Arabian Sea. Credits: NASA Goddard MODIS Rapid Response Tropical Cyclone 02A is forecast to move westward over the next few days and slowly strengthen due to good outflow and warm sea-surface temperatures.
This system is then expected to weaken later this week as it approaches Oman due to an increase in vertical wind shear.
