Quake prediction nears? More proof in the pudding! A magnitude 6.6 and a magnitude 6.2 along with a cluster of aftershocks rock the Fiji Islands and once again, the major quakes arrive at the same time and location as a local storm and deep-depression!

This morning a deep depression and electric storm were probably responsible for a cluster of two major quakes, (mag 6 or higher) and a bunch of powerful aftershocks, south of the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific Ocean.

Once again folks, it's clear to see, these major quakes happened in the middle of a deep depression, powerful winds and a storm, this scenario is becoming consistent this year as I do more research and I can't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to find a way of predicting major or powerful earthquakes, in the near future.

We appear to have two scenarios to help us with major quake prediction: Space weather, solar storms and CMEs' and local weather, with low-pressure systems along with high winds and storms being the likely reason. NASA and USGS have long said low-pressure systems do not cause major seismic activity but the longer I research this the more likely I believe they may be wrong.

Last night's two major quakes, (mag 6 or higher) were a mag 6.6 and a mag 6.2 coincidently bringing this year's total of major quakes to 50, which is quite impressive considering we are still in April! The number of major quakes in April so far is 14.

It's another powerful shallow earthquake (15km deep) yesterday massive major quake (mag 6 or higher) rocked Teluk Dalam in Indonesia and it happened during an intensive electric storm with incredible amounts of rain and a deep low depression system. The quake happened at 20:00 UTC time when yesterday's freak but the incredibly powerful solar storm was diminishing. More here

Last night's major quake, (mag 6 or higher) was the 48th to rattle Earth already this year and the 12th this April.

Could a tiny but deep area of low pressure at the epicentre of the most powerful and deadly quake to rock mankind this year be the cause of more than 60,000 deaths?

Monday, 24 April 2023 More Signs And Wonders: A large magnetic filament hundreds of thousands of miles long on our Sun suddenly snapped hurling a massive solar storm towards Earth! That storm arrived this morning and caused a massive mag 7.3 quake near New Zealand and light shows around the world

Credit USGS and Earthwindmap.

A massive magnitude 7.3 quake, reduced to 7.1 by USGS was recorded in the middle of the severe G4-class geomatic storm this morning near the Kermadec islands of New Zealand, the massive quake was less than 50km deep, there has been no mention of a tsunami warning.

The powerful quake was one of the biggest of the year and was the 47th major quake, (mag 6 or higher) of a very busy seismic 2023 so far.

Many of the most powerful quakes this year have been linked to solar activity just as the one this morning.

On Feb 6 at 02:17 (UTC +1) a magnitude 7.8 earthquake, rocked South and Western Turkey and Northwestern Syria. This devastatingly powerful shallow quake was quickly followed by a magnitude 7.7 aftershock.

The two massive earthquakes and the barrage of aftershocks caused almost 60,000 deaths and damage to an area the size of Germany. The UN estimated more than 1.5 million people were left homeless throughout Turkey and Syria. The quake is now registered as the 5th deadliest of the 21st Century.

As usual, USGS alerted me of the massive quake on my e-mail feed. I had an itch regarding the quake which just wouldn't stop itching from the moment I received the e-mail. For instance, as news came through I wrote on TBW, my blog: "We could have another Honshu Japan-type earthquake cluster happening right now in Turkey," I wasn't wrong, in fact, the death count turned out to be twice as high as the 2011 Honshu Japan quake—Full story

This week, once again, we witnessed just how incredibly lucky we are as a species. An extremely rare Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) THE MOST POWERFUL IN DECADES and travelling faster than 3,000 km/per second which compares to the Carrington Event in 1859 was ejected from our Sun and would easily have taken down all of Earth's satellites in space, along with the internet and electricity grid here on Earth. . . However, once again the 'DEATH RAY' missed us!

Last night, a very powerful, shallow (22km deep) magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked the Kermadec Islands, it was already the 4th major quake, (mag 6 or higher) to hit the islands so far this year. However, what is so special about this powerful quake is, it was recorded in the middle of a solar storm pounding our magnetosphere. See the map above. . .

Saturday, 4 March 2023 'SIGNS AND WONDERS!'—A third major quake in less than a month let loose in the middle of a cyclone north of New Zealand—We have seen 29 great earthquakes already this year, one every 2.3 days. During the same period in 1903, just 2 major quakes had been recorded—in 1913, 11 major quakes, 1923 only 13—1933, 14 major quakes, in 1943, just 7—We are witnessing great earthquakes!

Well folks, there we go, for the third time in less than a month a major quake, (mag 6 or higher) has rock 'n rolled' in or around an active cyclone. Early this morning a very powerful mag 6.9 rocked the Kermadec Islands north of New Zealand and was the third major quake in this area in the last three days. What is extremely interesting is this morning's powerful quake is the fact it occurred in the middle of two cyclones Kevin and Judy. . .

This unusual pattern has become a regular occurrence in 2023. For instance, yesterday for the second time this month, a major quake struck an area during a cyclone.  Yesterday at around 19:00 hrs, (UTC) a powerful magnitude 6.5 major quake, (mag 6 or higher) rocked the West coast of the South Pacific island Vanuatu at the same time the island was being pounded by Tropical Cyclone KEVIN-23, see map below.

Credit Earthwindmap and USGS. Once again a major quake coincides with another geological occurrence!

For the second time this month, a major quake struck an area during a cyclone.  Yesterday at around 19:00 hrs, (UTC) a powerful magnitude 6.5 major quake, (mag 6 or higher) rocked the West coast of the South Pacific island Vanuatu at the same time the island was being pounded by Tropical Cyclone KEVIN-23, see map above.

Just sixteen days ago, a powerful magnitude of 6.1 was recorded in the Kermadec Islands, above North Island, New Zealand during the arrival of Cyclone Gabrielle, see map below.

Thursday, 23 February 2023 The major quakes keep coming! A magnitude of 7.4 on the RSOE disaster map has been officially reported as a very powerful, shallow, magnitude of 6.8 by USGS. (why do they always reduce the size?) close to the Tajikistan-Xinjiang border region: Almost 50,000 dead after the Turkey-Syria quake!

We had another very strong quake early this morning and I haven't seen anything about it anywhere on MSM. The quake was recorded as a magnitude of 7.4 on the RSOE disaster map but has been officially reported as a very powerful, shallow, magnitude of 6.8 by USGS. (why do they always reduce the size?)

The epicentre was close to the Tajikistan-Xinjiang border region, it is a baron landscape so luckily there should not be much damage and hopefully no casualties. The major quake, (mag 6 or higher) is very interesting though in its location. It is almost on the exact same horizontal longitude as the mag 7.8 quake which killed almost 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria recently. It's about  1700 miles East of the Turkey quake with Iran sandwiched exactly between both of them.

Yesterday I promised more major seismic activity in the coming days and we didn't have to wait for long. . And once again the quake coincided with another incredible geological occurrence, right in the middle of the arrival of Cyclone Gabrielle.

As I mentioned yesterday on January 9th this year, a very powerful magnitude 7.6 earthquake rocked Indonesia at precisely 18:47 UTC—Just 3 minutes later at 18:50 our Sun launched a powerful X-Class flare from sunspot AR3182! I have never seen these two powerful events so closely linked together before. Full story

This morning's major quake (mag 6 or higher) was the 7th major quake so far in February and the 18th of 2023.

New Zealand declared a state of emergency on Monday as Cyclone Gabrielle started to lash the North Island. People in several regions such as Northland and Auckland, the country's largest city, have been warned of a high risk of tidal flooding by the civil defence department.

In a week of terrible consequences from the seismic activity and the powerful magnitude 7.8 killer quake in Turkey followed by a cluster of massive aftershocks this week, it is probably not surprising solar activity has got in on the act with our sun's 4th X-Class Flare yesterday, after all, solar and seismic activity are usually linked together.

For instance, on January 9th this year, a very powerful magnitude 7.6 earthquake rocked Indonesia at precisely 18:47 UTC—Just 3 minutes later at 18:50 our Sun launched a powerful X-Class flare from sunspot AR3182! I have never seen these two powerful events so closely linked together before. Full story  It's no coincidence, for example in 1957 when the sun produced a record-breaking year in sunspot activity, our planet record its record-breaking number of major quakes, which was there for all to see until USGS altered their records Full story Asked why they altered their records from so long ago, they answered. . .

It has been an incredibly exciting week the massive Sunspot AR3190, (magnified above) the biggest sunspot in years and visible to the naked eye has so far failed to deliver, which is maybe a good thing. . . Credit SDO/HMI

Sunspot AR3190, (magnified above) the biggest sunspot in years and visible to the naked eye has so far failed to deliver. The impressive sunspot, more than 4 times larger than the Earth has not ejected the massive X-Class solar flare many astronomers were hoping for.

However, yesterday, sunspots AR3192 and Ar3190 briefly introduced each other when a bolt of lightning connected the two sunspots together, see left, credit Spaceweather.com. . .

An enormous plasma discharge, more than 500,000 km long released from sunspot AR3192 ZIG-ZAGGED more than half a million km and zapped the massive sunspot AR3190.

Wednesday, 18 January 2023 Locked n' loaded! Massive sunspot AR3190 takes aim and faces Earth: It's the biggest sunspot in years (More than 4 times the size of Earth) and is now facing our planet directly. It is so big it can be seen with the naked eye and is responsible for two very powerful major quakes in Indonesia

Massive sunspot AR3190 has a 'beta-gamma' magnetic field that harbours energy for powerful solar flares. Credit: SDO/HMI and Spaceweather.com.

2023 has seen a very exciting start for astronomers already with three powerful X-Class solar flares and a plethora of sunspots. Our Sun is still brisling with powerful sunspots with the biggest sunspot in years now facing our planet. Sunspot AR3190 is so big it can be seen with the naked eye. (Warning never look at the sun without proper protection for your eyes)

Sunspot AR3190 is at the moment more than four times the size of the earth and it is facing our planet, meaning if the sunspot explodes, releasing a powerful coronal mass ejection the resulting solar flare would hit Earth full on. However, NASA is predicting only a 15% chance of a powerful X-Class flare during the next 48 hours, that can change, however. Sunspot AR3190 can be seen lower left on the Hellioviewer video below.

The first two weeks of 2023 have seen a plethora of solar activity recording three X-Class Flares. With a barrage of large sunspots emerging from the eastern limb of the sun, we can expect more high-energy activity next week.

Of course, high active solar energy is usually accompanied by major quake activity (mag 6 or higher)  and the last few days have been no exception. This morning a very deep magnitude 6.3 quake rocked the Izu Islands near Japan, see the map below.

Earlier a magnitude of 6.0 was recorded in the Indonesia region of Nias. The two major quakes, (mag 6 or higher bring the total to 5 so far in 2023 with a very powerful magnitude of 7.6  which rocked Indonesia on Jan 9.

When space weather meets major seismic activity!

I have been blogging about quakes and spaceweather since 2008 but I have never witnessed this before. . .

This afternoon, a very powerful magnitude 7.6 earthquake rocked Indonesia at precisely 18:47 UTC—Just 3 minutes later at 18:50 our Sun launched a powerful X-Class flare from sunspot AR3182! I have never seen two powerful events so closely linked together before! I'm flabbergasted. . .

The powerful major quake, (mag 6 or higher) rocked the Pacific Ring Of Fire, the second in as many days. This one was a magnitude 7.6 struck Pulau Pulau Tanimbar, in Indonesia.

You got me curious Gary! Seeing especially these last two posts I started digging for more info. First I had watched a documentary film regarding Bible prophecies and our world today which mentioned how quakes and volcanic eruptions have been increasing tremendously and they found that USGS data does not reflect these increases ... just as Gary has said in prior posts.
It said USGS publicly stated through news media that their data is not fudged but the documentary disagreed and told how they investigated that USGS statement finding horrific results of tremendous increases in global shakings.
Based on hearing that I googled similar to see if the mentioned media statement link would come up in my search. Doing that search brought me all kinds of other related news links both media and governmental. Findings were exactly what Gary said, yes, USGS is down playing seismic occurrences and they admitted it! But they give excuses to validate those said "corrections" after the fact was already released.
The Google links that came up in my search showed me just how true it all is. Earthquakes are happening daily like crazy and in all places. Just in U.S., NY, NJ & Pennsylvania are currently shaking a lot. Last week of April 2023 had several news links reporting the shakings in those states and guess what else? A crazy weird weather event within 24 to 48 hours of every single quake! The links were all alt media, no msm. Weatherboy was one following it.
It sure does look a lot like cause & effect to me. The weather involved in all of the shaking was/is geoengineering weather. The other dot connector that sticks out big is all the quakes had very shallow depths, 10 km or less.

Good observation Hawkeye.
I know there is so much other 'bad' stuff happening around the world but I just can't leave the quakes alone—I truly believe there is much more to this than meets the eye. For instance, the year solar activity went absolutely crazy, yes, the year the space race began, 1957 . . .

Well, that same year, Earth's seismic activity went crazy too with a gigantic record-smashing 205 'major quakes' (mag 6 or higher) in that year. Guess what, USGS have adjusted 1957 major quake stats 3 times since 2013 at least! From just over 60 in 2013—they then upped the total to 204, "the record" around 2017, but, the last time I checked they had changed the year tally once more to 175 in 2020 or so. I emailed them, they said they change the data because new information keeps coming in? New information, from quakes which happened over 60 years ago?
