George Orwell's classic novel, 1984 begins:
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him.
But if he had written it today, the opening paragraph could have been much worse— Something like this?
It was an incredibly hot, sticky, day in April as the early heatwave intensified. The neural-network gently reminded people it was thirteen-o-clock. Winston Smith, his face protected by a mask, nuzzled his chin into his hungry frame in an effort to escape the hot dusty chemical laden wind. He slipped through the glass doors of "Rainbow Mansions" glancing into the sky and seeing a sickly yellowish haze dimming out the sun. . .
Actually today is another warm sunny day here in Holland, 20 deg C (68 deg F), twice as warm as it should be for the time of the year. For the first time ever, my fig tree and grape vine are sprouting tender leaves in March—A good 7 weeks early than normal! The whole month of March has been sunny and warm, most of February too come to think of it... There is no rain forecasted for the next 14 days "at least," and none has fallen for the last 40 days either! No snow to speak of for the last 20+ years, and I hear myself asking . . . Yet again—What's going on with the weather?
Someone commented on TBW this week:
"But I don’t even go into the climate stuff anymore, because what’s the point of it? You’ve got a massive, massive worldwide, well-funded agenda to push through a whole new way of living, that’s the whole point of it all. It’s nothing to do with climate." No, it's not, it's much bigger than that!
Oh boy, that is so true!
On New Year's Eve, 2019 we toasted the arrival of a new decade with popping corks, bubbles, streamers and fireworks. All was well with the world. (Australia was literally on fire, but it was summer there, right?) 2019 had been the second hottest year ever but that happens almost every year these days doesn't it? The world's 5 hottest years had all been registered since 2015 and 9 of the 10 hottest years ever had occurred since 2005, but anyway as the man commented above—It’s nothing to do with the climate is it?
Our well-funded agenda and our new way of living is doing remarkably well, thank you very much! The war is going incredibly well for Ukraine and NATO and terribly bad for Russia. . . Or—Incredibly well for Russia and terribly bad for Ukraine and NATO, depending on which side of the fence you are sitting. Russia and Ukraine produce around 25% of the world's wheat, so the new "buzz" phrase is—"global food shortages"—But wait. How can a 25% drop in wheat production cause a "global food shortage—A 75% drop would cause a global food shortage surely, but not 25%! Three loaves a week instead of four is hardly a disaster, no but—For the already starving people of Somalia, Yemen and Sudan it will be of course. But they are never mentioned here in the West anyway.
The Covid pandemic is back with a bang and causing chaos once again around the world with new cases outpacing previous surges almost everywhere—But curiously—Not in Poland, Hungry, Moldova and Rumania where millions of people, many maskless are arriving, fleeing the war in Ukraine. Covid is never mentioned here, even though 5 people in every 100 coming from Ukraine have the disease.
President Biden not only called President Putin a Butcher this weekend but almost triggered WWIII when he passionately called for,"Putin to be removed from power!" in an unscripted remark during a meeting with the Polish President, leaving the White House officials to clean up the mess.
Scary stuff indeed, but, while we were under lock-down with Covid, and later threatened with insane inflation, world-wide poverty and now, WWIII—The real elephant in the room is sat in the corner minding his own business.
The recent onslaught of deadly heatwaves, unprecedented wildfires, devastating flooding, aberrant cyclones and hurricanes, crippling droughts, decimated crops, massive deforestation and a record-breaking ice melt on both poles. Food shortages, crippling inflation, energy shortages and war didn’t scare you a little, well, buckle up folks, cos'—You ain't seen nothing yet!
“Now learn this illustration from the fig tree:
Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near. (As I wrote above, the tender leaves are much much earlier this year than ever before, at least here in Holland!)
In Matthew 24—Jesus warned us of time like these:
“Look out that nobody misleads you, for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold. But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
"Look out that nobody misleads you!"
Matthew 15:14: Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
Jesus said, “For judgment, I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.
They, our world leaders, experts advisors, and the elite, they are all feeding us a kind-of "alternative truth." They appear collectively together, and they are mostly, I guess. They all say the correct things. . . They all tell us "exactly" what "they" think we want to hear. And they all appear genuinely concerned for us and "sincerely" want to be "seen" helping us. However, most of their ideas are so wide of the mark as to be almost laughable, if it wasn't so serious! You see—They think that if they appease us, and tell us what "they think" we want to hear, then, they, are doing a jolly good-job. But the disturbing truth is most of our world leaders are "struck with blindness and incompetence." And yes, Jesus warned us—They are, unknowingly, leading us into a pit! It seems every one of them are afflicted— This "blindness," or inability to comprehend what is required of them appears to take over them when they are elected or chosen to lead.
“Look out that nobody misleads you, for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.
Which is exactly what happened on March the 18th, when President Putin, attending a pro-war rally in Moscow quoted "Jesus" to justify the invasion of Ukraine: He said—Quote, "words from the Bible come to my head"—"There is no greater love than to lay down ones life for a friend." John 15:13
Who's life is he talking about, I wonder?
You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.
Look around, listen, to any front page of a newspaper, news website, radio or Tv News show—The above paragraph is todays news! (Large earthquakes are so frequent now, only the mega quakes make national news these days)
All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. . .
And yes, they are. So—It's not that hard to see is it? That is, "the elephant in the room," is the beginning of pangs of distress. In Bible prophecy, we are the people who are living during the pangs of distress!
“Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. (Now happening)
There is that dreaded word—Tribulation! Tribulation is coming, it may have begun, it maybe just around the corner, what did Jesus say? Now learn this illustration from the fig tree. Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near. (Now happening)
Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. (Now happening)
Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold. (Now happening)
But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. (Will happen)
And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Surely Will Happen)
