"She blinded me with science!"
As we know, a record-breaking number of sunspots exploded on our star, and a record number of major earthquakes and volcanic activity were recorded here on Earth. Consequently, the beginning of the space race occurred in 1957, just two months before the explosion of sunspots. Numerous official graphs show our planet began to warm, and pestilence, famine and death gripped our world.
Several wars were being fought around the globe, and of course the Cold War was in full swing. (Wars and rumours of wars) A famine known as the Great Leap Forward was about to take a firm grip in China; the Great Leap Forward would go on to kill almost 50 million people.
All of these events tie in with what Jesus described as "signs and wonders". Deception, something we discussed in the last chapter was another clear warning from Jesus, was clearly on the rise in 1957 too. NASA was about to be launched after the US had lost the space race to the Soviets. Eisenhower warned the world of a mighty military-industrial complex in which AI was already being considered, and CERN was building their ambitious Hadron Collider over here in Europe.
It was around the same time, Vice President Johnson at Southwest Texas State University claimed in a speech: "Our very future (the US) depended on being the ones who first seized ownership of space." “Control of space means control of the world,” Johnson declared.
He continued:
“From space, the masters of infinity would have the power to control the earth’s weather, to cause drought and flood, to change the tides and raise the levels of the sea, to divert the Gulf Stream and change temperate climates to frigid.” (which is exactly what is happening now, 60 years later!)
A prominent scientist at the time, called Harry Wexler, who was on JFK's team of scientists, warned Vice President Johnson and the US government in 1962 that increased pollution from "rocket exhaust" (nuclear testing, space exploration and experimenting with sounding rockets) was doing terrible things to our atmosphere. However, the military intervention made sure the experiments continued. Harry Wexler warned the government that chlorine and bromine were destroying the ozone, which would eventually disrupt the jet stream, which in turn would cause worldwide weather chaos. By the way, Wexler died suddenly in 1962 of a heart attack.
One of the biggest causes of extreme weather recently is, yes, you guessed—the 'erratic' behaviour of a disrupted jet stream, which is causing horrendous storms, flooding, heatwaves, and bone-crunching cold in countries of the Northern Hemisphere.
To back up this crazy weather trend, the number of recorded natural disasters has also increased considerably since 1957; this is not contested. However, NOAA, NASA, USGS and other scientific databases claim there's an important distinction between the number of disasters being recorded and the number actually occurring. The IPCC Climate Change Assessment finds that hot extremes and heatwaves have become more frequent and intense across most land regions since the late 1950s. This is exactly what Harry Wexler warned us would happen.
Heavy rainfall has also increased across many well-observed regions. Human-caused climate change (caused by man-made rockets and the space race) is a major driver of these changes. As I write this chapter, a record-busting El Niño is currently disrupting worldwide weather and 2026 is on course to be yet another hottest year on record. According to NASA, the last ten years have been the hottest on record; now, a statistic like that cannot be easily falsified.
2. Floods and droughts — a mixed picture and, in my humble opinion, a bit of a "cop-out!"
They say, heavy rainfall and flooding risks have increased in many regions, while drought trends vary considerably by region and by how drought is measured. We cannot assume every part of the world is becoming drier or more flood-prone. However, this is a hard one to swallow considering all the satellites in space monitoring anything that moves here on Earth; surely, they should know exactly who's having a drought and who's not?
3. Earthquakes—no equivalent global increase established? Well, I beg to differ
They say no comparable evidence shows that earthquakes worldwide have increased steadily since 1900, according to the official data from USGS. This is simply not true. I have tracked and plotted major quakes around the world from 1900 till now three times in recent years; each time the numbers had been changed, and USGS have openly admitted to changing their data on a regular basis.
They say modern instruments detect many smaller events that would previously have gone unnoticed, so raw counts can be misleading. In my research, I plotted only major earthquakes, magnitude 6 or higher, hardly small events. (And they changed hundreds of major quakes, three times in several years).
A tale of three graphs, 2014, 2019 and 2022 . . . Each one immensely different.
Below I have added an Email address for anyone wishing to contact USGS with a question.
4. Wildfires and extreme heat — serious concerns
They say heat extremes are increasing, and climate change can make conditions favourable for severe fires in many regions. However, fire activity also depends on vegetation, land management, ignition sources and local weather. (But when an entire coastline of a continent is on fire, as was Eastern Australia in 2019, killing billions of wildlife, crops and vegetation, wildfires and extreme heat are a tad harder to deny!)
Conclusion
1. Extreme weather — clear increases in several categories
2. Floods and droughts — a mixed picture and, in my humble opinion, a "cop-out!"
3. Earthquakes—no equivalent global increase established? Well, I beg to differ
4. Wildfires and extreme heat — serious concerns
What does their data show? ( Check the graph titel your reading, they all look remarkably similar!)
Below is a graph from GRID-Arendal showing multiple disaster causes since 1900. GRID-Arendal is a non-profit environmental organisation, established in 1989 under a strong mandate from UNEP and the Norwegian governance system. The graph shows a definite rise in the number of global disasters since 1957.
But here's something particularly important about 1957. The international disaster database, EM-DAT, below, shows a dramatic rise in recorded disasters from the 1960s through to around 2000, but then again, so do all the graphs below, from different organisations. If we are to believe the suits and scientists who claim that technology and reporting techniques have become much more reliable over the years, why then does each graph show the same increase happening in the late 50s and early 60s? Did new tech suddenly improve all reporting after 1957? Don't take my word for it; have a look yourself all the graphs look the same!
"Without the Sun’s energy, life as we know it could not exist on our home planet."
However, too much energy and we have an inverted scenario . . .
There has been an increase in ocean heat content during recent decades as the oceans absorb over 90% of the heat from global warming. Above is a chart by RCraig09 showing ocean heat content in the top 200m and top 700m since 1957. Can you imagine the carnage from storms, hurricanes, and typhoons if sea temperatures keep rising for just another 5 years? The continued rise would also be lethal for a large percentage of marine life. . . More on that subject later.
