Marching On Together

Marching On Together I have had a romance with a lady since my childhood just like thousands of other people around the world who are also in love with her. I have remained in love with her through the many bad times and the few good times, my love for her has never faltered and never will. My lady's name is Leeds United and she is just five games away from returning to the English Football Premiership, after sixteen years in the football wilderness. In the sixties, seventies and early nineties my lady was known as "Super Leeds," however in 2003, my love was relegated from the English Football Premiership due to financial miss-handling by her owners. "Super Leeds," dropped down to the third tier of English football. If Leeds United can grab ten points from their last five games my lady will be back where she belongs in the higher echelons of English football and I can once more embrace my love with happiness.

Leeds 5 v 0 Stoke, 7 points needed from 4 games...

New York set to beat July heat records as high humidity pushes temperature in Central New York to nearly 100F (38C)

The hottest temperatures of the year so far, combined with high humidity, could push the heat index in Central New York to nearly 100F (38C) on Wednesday.
The heat index is the measure of how hot it feels given the temperature and humidity.
High humidity makes it harder for the body to evaporate sweat and cool off.
The combination of heat and high humidity can be dangerous for people who are outdoors.
Tuesday will be hot, with a high of 90, but the humidity will likely stay below 40 percent.
Wednesday and Thursday, however, will be hotter with higher humidity, and the heat index could reach into the high 90s both days.
Wednesday could even break a record for the date, which is 94, set in 1995.
Three days in a row of 90 or above constitutes an official heat wave in Central New York.
The last time that happened was last year, from Sept. 6 to 9.
This week, nights will be warm, too, with temperatures staying in the 70s Wednesday and Thursday nights.
High temperatures fall back into the mid-80s on Friday.
