The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) owns or operates a total of 17 satellites currently observing our Sun. Not surprisingly scientists and governments are keen to keep an eye on our life-giver, which of course can in an instant take our life away, and almost has on several occasions. One of the reasons our Star is being constantly monitored is due to the unexpected explosion of sunspots during Christmas 1957. You see, the very likely chance of a massive solar storm or CME hitting Earth directly, would knock our civilisation back into the stone age. Experts claim this scenario is a question of when and not if. When it does happen, and it will, we will have approximately 30 minutes to prepare.
In 2012 the year the world was supposed to end. Well, it almost did!
If an asteroid big enough to knock modern civilization back to the MIDDLE AGES suddenly appeared out of deep space and narrowly missed the Earth, the near-miss would be instant worldwide news, wouldn't it? Eleven years ago, Earth experienced a close shave just as perilous, however, the whole event was never mentioned in the news, or by our leaders and experts. Was it covered up?
The near "impactor" was not an asteroid, it was a gigantic coronal mass ejection (CME) but this one was the most powerful in more than 150 years—Fortunately for us the solar storm missed Earth, but, it did damage STEREO-A spacecraft, one of the satellites on the pic above, monitoring the Sun. If the massive CME had happened just a few days earlier, Earth's entire electricity grid would have been taken down. What this would mean to the world's 450 nuclear plants I shudder to think. Sufficient to say civilisation would collapse anyway.
The largest recorded geomagnetic storm in history to affect Earth occurred in 1859 and is called the Carrington Event.
From August 28 to September 2, 1859, many sunspots appeared on the Sun.
Normally when a CME hits Earth's magnetosphere auroras can be seen around the Arctic or Antarctic Circle, however, the Carrington Event produced auroras which flooded the night skies around the world. In the Southern Hemisphere, many were observed as far North as Queensland in Australia. In the Northern Hemisphere auroras as far south as the Caribbean, and Mexico were observed, and even at lower latitudes very close to the equator, such as in Colombia. The auroras were so bright it was possible for people to read newspapers in the middle of the night.
Back in 1859, the telegraph system was the internet of the time. Systems in Europe and North America failed, in some cases giving telegraph operators electric shocks. The wooden pylons threw sparks and caught fire. Many telegraph operators could continue to send and receive messages despite having disconnected their power supplies. The Carrington Event was one of the largest geomagnetic storms ever recorded, however, our Sun is capable of much stronger flares. . . Much stronger.
In 2022 Elon Musk famously lost more than 40 of his Starlink Satellites due to a geomagnetic storm in space. The damaged satellites fell back and burnt up in the Earth's atmosphere. So far, we have been lucky but as scientists will tell you, a CME big enough to wipe out civilisation on Earth, is a question of when and not if.
Society versus Environment?
You would be correct to say our society is collapsing just as severely as our environment.
An incredible sequence of events has floored our world, not just in the last handful of years but actually for more than a hundred years, at the very least. Some may say the 'birth pangs' Jesus warned us about in Matt 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13 started in 1914 when man learned to kill his fellow man for the first time ever on an industrial scale. The use of factory-produced bombs, guns, tanks and chemicals provided mankind with the quantum jump needed, of course. The beginning of the 20th Century was a time when wars and rumours of wars suddenly became prevalent. You see, wars had never happened on a global scale until 1914, never, in the history of mankind. Neither had poverty nor pestilence ever been on a global scale, but the arrival of the Spanish Flu and later the Great Depression suddenly became global too—The birth pangs Jesus had warned us of had begun. Those birth pangs have of course ramped up to unprecedented levels recently with many experts claiming we are entering the Tribulation Period mentioned in the Bible. We don't know that of course.
Man's romance with technology (the devil is in the details) truly began to increase in the early 20th Century. The famous Daniel prophecy, which until the early 20th century had been sealed tight, suddenly unravelled and began to make sense. In the early 20th Century mankind began to roam to and fro, and knowledge would increase like never before.
WWII brought even new horrors. In 1945, Oppenheimer discovered his deadly toy (a bomb to end all wars). The Atom Bomb was followed by the prophetic rise of the Jewish State in 1948.
Of course, as Christians, we know Earth's end times and birth pains began when Jesus was resurrected in AD 33. However, there are some important pieces to add to this end-time puzzle, which are clearly mentioned by Jesus to His disciples in his famous Mount of the Olives Sermon. If you were to ask any scientist, historian or scholar what the most important year in the recent history of mankind was—not one of them would answer ‘1957.’ Yet, three things happened that year which are clearly mentioned by Jesus in His famous speech to His disciples, events we were warned by Jesus to look out for.
There will be great earthquakes in various places—And fearful events and great signs from heaven.
In 1957 a total of 204 major quakes were recorded around the world, this was a record by a country-mile. The average number of major quakes (mag 6 or higher) per year, worldwide in the ‘1940s was 35—In 1957 that number suddenly rocketed by more than 700% to 204!
In 1957 a record-breaking number of sunspots were recorded on our Sun—And, that number rocketed again on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1957!

For millions of people, 1957 appeared to be a wonderful year, full of optimism. The world, in general, was, for most people, a happier place, a time of great hope. Great leaps in healthcare and technology have taken place. Jobs for almost everyone displaced the horrors of WWII, a better life for everyone who wanted it, in the Western world at least. In fact, in 1957, the United States had among the highest life expectancy in the world, and the American dream and their affluent lifestyle were the envy of the whole world.
That was in 1957—Undeniably, something totally unexpected has happened since then! For instance, life expectancy in the US ranks bottom among major developed nations (47th in the world). Other Western nations are falling too. According to Forbes, 63% of Americans don't have enough savings to cover a $500 emergency and 7 in 10 are living from paycheck to paycheck!
Today the world is recovering from the grip of a pandemic, and war has returned to Europe and the Middle East. Poverty is back for many and is on an exponential rise. Social unrest is a "ticking time bomb" and WWIII is thought by many, to be unavoidable, our environment is on the verge of total collapse.
Hosea 4: 1-3: The LORD has a case against the people of the land: “There is no truth, no loving devotion, and no knowledge of God in the land! 2 Cursing and lying, murder and stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another. 3 Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea disappear.
Our oceans are dying. Around 10,000 animal species become extinct every year and it is estimated more than 80% have gone forever, never to come back and that's just since records began in the 70s'. Pollinators and insects are dying too at an unsustainable rate, without pollinators and insects our planet will die within four years. Crops and vegetation are failing. The planet’s unstoppable out-of-control climate is consuming and destroying the world and our governments, scientists, and experts can’t even agree on the reason, never mind agree on a way to fix the problem!
Could the crash we are witnessing today be linked to an old Bible story which happened almost 4,000 years ago when a great warrior named Nimrod decided to unite the people and build a tower into the heavens, only for God to scatter them?
We didn't know at the time but—1957 was probably the worst year in the history of mankind and the planet. Why? Because everything we had always taken for granted suddenly started disappearing . . . At the same time, all the things we had feared, suddenly began happening! (more on that later). But more importantly, 1957 also completed the prophecies forewarned by Jesus to His disciples, namely in Matt 24:7—'Earthquakes in one place and another.' Mark 13:8—Again, 'earthquakes in one place and another.' Luke 21:11 'Great earthquakes in one place and another and there will be fearful events and great signs from heaven'
. . . This part of Jesus's prophecies didn't even come to fruition until 1957.
Historically, from AD 33 to AD 1950s major earthquakes had been very scarce here on Earth and did not really warrant a mention. I can't think of many fearful events and great signs from heaven either but I'm no expert.
What happened to mankind and our planet just after 1957 warrants a very deep investigation. Most scientists and so-called experts have a congruous notion of global warming, or, indeed climate change. According to the UN, Fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas – are by far the largest contributor to global climate change, accounting for over 75 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions.
As greenhouse gas emissions blanket the Earth, they trap the sun’s heat. This leads to global warming and climate change. This at least is the official narrative. There is no mention of nuclear weapon testing or rocket launches in their report, however.
The world is now warming faster than at any point in recorded history, this is without doubt. Warmer temperatures over time are changing weather patterns and disrupting the usual balance of nature. This poses many risks to human beings and all other forms of life on Earth, however, this warming clearly started in 1957 as seen on the official NASA graph, see below.
Once again, NASA's graph is clearly undeniable—The information from NASA compares the Earth's temperature, (in red), along with solar activity, (in yellow) from 1880 until 2020+. The graph clearly shows—that temperature and solar activity rose and fell almost identically for almost 80 years until suddenly—“Solar Activity” (Solar Irradiance) exploded and then dropped off a cliff in 1957. At the same point, Global Warming begins its catastrophic rise. The yellow spike is a spectacular phenomenon, a record-breaking number of sunspots on our Sun. What you don't see on this graph is a coincidental record-breaking number of major quakes here on Earth in the same year?
If we compare NASA's graph above to tree-ring data from the same period we see almost an identical graph!
The graph above is the Briffa-tree ring density vs temperature and was created by SUV. As you can clearly see, it resembles NASA's, Temperature vs Solar Activity Graph almost identically. The tree rings appear to have reacted the same way as Solar Activity did after 1957. Annual growth in tree rings became considerably narrower after 1957 and dropped off the cliff, just as Solar Activity did on NASA's graph. But, clearly, global temperature suddenly and unexpectedly began its considerable rise, (global warming began) despite being constant with the tree ring widths for the previous 80 years.
Solar Cycle 24, the last completed cycle in 2000, was officially the 4th-smallest intensity since regular record-keeping began with, Solar Cycle 1 way back in 1755. (following the yellow line after 1957) It was also the weakest cycle in 100 years. But was Solar Cycle 19 the one in 1957 the year that sealed our fate on this planet?
NASA claims on Climate NASA.gov,
“It is therefore “extremely unlikely that our ‘Sun’ has caused the observed global temperature warming trend over the past half-century.”
So what did? Factories and aeroplanes? We can clearly see the spike in sun irradiance and the sudden rise in global temperature. Where did the record-breaking number of sunspots and the record-breaking number of major quakes here on Earth come from and . . . could it have anything to do with the Space Race? Or is Global Warming due to the rise of CO2 emissions from coal, oil, gas, and cement production and gas as we are led to believe?
The graphs and information we are presented by the so-called experts would surely see a gradual rise and not a sudden jump in fossil fuel emissions surely? See Our World In Data Below.

Time and time again we see official websites, graphs and statistics from 1957 onwards showing temperature, natural disasters animal deaths fish deaths climate change all began to happen around that year, the evidence is conclusive.
Everything we needed and had always taken for granted suddenly broke and began collapsing, very slowly at first, but nevertheless disappearing, dying or self-destructing around 1957. At the same time, all the things we had always feared, suddenly began increasing.
Nearly 70 years later we are suddenly beginning to realise most of what we had has gone forever and most of what we didn't want is here forever. We can’t get what we want back, it was taken away while we were sleeping in our shoes.
Back to the Bible!
Matthew 24: “There will be ‘great earthquakes’ in one place and another” and in Luke 21. "Great earthquakes" in one place and another, and “great signs and fearful sights from heaven.”
In 1957 that part of the prophecy arrived like a thief in the night, why? Because no one noticed, which, in itself is a tad worrying.
A fledgling NASA (NACA) and a handful of scientists did notice, but they weren’t telling us!
In those days increasing pressure from the Soviet Bloc and the Cold War stand-off along with a terrifying fear of an escalation into a third World War had caused the Soviets, the US, the UK, and France to escalate a new arms race. (An arms race to end all arms races!) There was a perceived need to build and test nuclear bombs quickly in a vain attempt to protect Western countries from the dystopian threat of the Soviets who were seen as a great threat to our Western way of life, according to our own military-industrial complex.
Was this increase in major earthquakes and solar activity contributed to nuclear testing or was it something else—Was it a sign from heaven, divine intervention? Had mankind trespassed into the heavens? A prophecy fulfilled?
“There will be great earthquakes in one place and another.” And of course, “great signs and fearful sights from heaven.” And both in the same year 1957 and prophesied in the Bible, some 2,000 years ago, in the same prophecies?
But—here on Earth, something else began to happen, something which coincided with the massive increase in major quakes and the record solar activity on our Sun: Slowly but surely our planet was beginning to warm, yes, very slowly at first, almost impossible to see. Nevertheless, the warming had started.
Other strange anomalies also began happening around the same time, such as a steady but noticeable increase in natural disasters. Volcano activity began to increase just as the major quakes had, the experts didn’t even realise it at the time but animal, fish, and insect species suddenly began dying off too. The age of climate change/global warming had arrived, right under our noses, like “a thief in the night-out planet was in the early throes of dying!” Like a small tumour unseen on the lung or brain, the tic-tok of the death clock was ticking.
“Great signs and fearful sights from heaven?”
Incredibly and equally fantastic, something else happened in 1957, something just as astonishing as the record-breaking explosion of major quakes. As I mentioned earlier, during the same year, our Star, the Sun, exploded with unprecedented activity and recorded its highest number of sunspots ever! What a coincidence, if it was a coincidence?
The event certainly attracted attention from NASA's predecessor the National Advisory Committee On Aeronautics, (NACA)—And prompted the then-president of the US, Dwight D. Eisenhower to authorise the opening of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
NASA, of course, would go on to do truly wondrous things even if they were often less than economical with the truth.
The famous prophecy in Luke: 21 Great earthquakes in one place and another, “great signs and fearful sights from heaven,” had suddenly come to pass, and most experts had missed the connection!
Did the firing of rockets into space coincide with the extraordinary event on our Sun which had left the science community, at the time, perplexed and extremely worried?
In October 1957, the USSR launched Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite, catching the US off-guard by three months. The US followed almost immediately of course and in January 1958, they launched Explorer 1, the first satellite launched by the United States into space. This was the springboard for the US along with Lyndon B Johnson's ambition to own space, allowing him and the military-industrial complex to proceed with all kinds of dubious experiments.
Curiously, during November and December 1957, there was a sudden surge in documented UFO sightings around the world, which of course came hot on the heels of Sputnik 1, and the sunspot explosion.
On the evening of 4 November 1957, two sentinels at the Itaipu Fort, (Praia Grande, São Paulo) suffered moderate burns after being hit by a heat wave from an unidentified flying object, which allegedly came descending from the sky. The entire electricity of the fort, including the emergency circuits, went down during the incident. Afterwards, Brazilian Army and United States Air Force (USAF) personnel, along with investigators of the Brazilian Air Force, flew to the fort to interview the soldiers.
USAF's Donald Keyhoe, who later became a UFO researcher expressed his opinions on the case:
"Such civilization could see that on Earth we now have atomic bombs and that we are quickly improving our rockets. Given the past history of mankind - frequent wars showing a belligerent human race - they must have become alarmed. We should, therefore, expect, especially at these times, to receive such visits. According to this, the main objective of the aliens would be to watch our space improvements, fearing we could become a threat to other planets. If this hypothesis is exact, it could be expanded to link the launching of the Sputniks with the attack to the Fort Itaipu. However, this sounded absurd for all investigators. It would mean that the aliens would be worried about our firsts steps in space, and by small space ships so primitive that would look like a canoe if compared to a transatlantic liner. It would also mean that those burnings had the purpose of demonstrating the superior weapons they could use against the aggressive explorers coming from the Earth. However, we were still far from piloted space flight, even to the Moon. According to human logic, we would not be able to threaten a superior space ship - not now nor later." Credit Wikipedia.
Of course, 12 years later man had landed on the Moon.
All in all, nearly 1,000 sunspot groups, the largest number ever observed in one year by a country mile, and a record number of major quakes (mag 6 or higher) in the same year, also by a country mile and the beginning of the space race, 1957 was ultimately a year like no other,
The major quake record stood until 2011, the year of the Fukushima disaster. In that year, 207 major quakes were recorded, just 3 more than in 1957, however, more than 70 mag 6 or higher aftershocks were recorded during the great Honshu quake of 2022, take them away and the count for 2011 would be a mere 137.
The massive sunspot explosion of 1957 has never been beaten.
What the experts didn’t notice, or maybe they did and we were never told, was our climate had begun to warm and natural disasters, major earthquakes, (mag 6 or higher) volcano activity, hurricanes, floods, and droughts had all begun to inexplicably rise. see the graph below.

The incredible spike of sunspot activity described above was solar cycle 19, the nineteenth solar cycle since 1755 when extensive recording of solar sunspot activity began. According to NASA, solar cycle 19 lasted 10.5 years, beginning in April 1954 and ending in October 1964, which is about average for a full solar cycle. The number of sunspots witnessed on the Sun during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 1957 was (503 X 2), however, that total was anything but average.
Ironically, in 1957 an International Geophysical Year was launched.
The International Geophysical Year also referred to as the third International Polar Year, was an international scientific project that lasted from 1 July 1957 to 31 December 1958. It marked the end of a long period during the Cold War when the scientific interchange between East and West had been seriously interrupted due to the Cold War.
According to Wikipedia, The IGY encompassed eleven Earth sciences: aurora and airglow, cosmic rays, geomagnetism, gravity, ionospheric physics, longitude and latitude determinations (precision mapping), meteorology, oceanography, seismology, and solar activity. The timing of the IGY was particularly suited for studying some of these phenomena since it covered the peak of solar cycle 19 and its record number of sunspots.
Both the Soviet Union and the U.S. launched artificial satellites for this event; the Soviet Union's Sputnik 1, launched on October 4, 1957, was the first successful artificial satellite. Other significant achievements of the IGY included the discovery of the Van Allen radiation belts by Explorer 1.
The following information is quoted from the US Post Office Department’s press release announcing the issuance of the stamp.
The 3-cent International Geophysical Year Commemorative Postage Stamp was placed on the First-Day sale on May 31, 1958, in Chicago and was based on a photograph of the sun and depicts an area of "intense solar activity" such as occurs periodically and is among the "phenomena being studied" during the 18-month period of the International Geophysical Year, 1957/58. Hmmm!
The United States program in the International Geophysical Year was under the direction of the National Academy of Sciences.
Superimposed above the solar disc and the fiery solar prominences emanating from it is a segment of Michelangelo’s [sic] famous fresco, ‘The Creation of Adam.’
Ervine Metzl, the designer of the stamp, explained ‘In the small confines of a postage stamp we have endeavoured to picture a man’s wonder at the unknown together with his determination to understand it and his need for spiritual inspiration to further his knowledge.’
As you may have expected, powerful land and sea communications were lost during Christmas 1957 due to record-breaking solar activity!
Below is a press report of ‘Gigantic explosions on our Sun.
On Christmas Eve 1957, The Amsterdam Evening Recorder reported: Missing British Sub "Safe." Search Called Off. The British Admiralty said it was possible that “unusual sunspot activity” over the past two days might have blacked it out. [radio signals]
Gigantic explosions on the sun had bombarded the earth with cosmic rays, interfering with [the submarines] communications.
In Copenhagen, the Danish government's telegraph authority said no radio messages had been received from its "Greenland stations" since the morning of the 24th. "Frankly," a spokesman for the authority said, "we cannot see how a vessel could get signals through, while we cannot receive a word from our own powerful land stations in the area."
The renowned Serbian scientist Milutin Milankovitch had written a report in “1958,” (just) one year after the sunspot explosion, revealing that our “planet’s weather” was, in fact, changing due to extraneous factors that had "absolutely nothing to do with human activity."In 1958, during the solar storms the fledgling NASA, first observed that actual changes in the solar orbit of the earth, along with "alterations to the earth’s axial tilt," suggested ‘solar activity was responsible for ‘fluctuations’ in our planet's weather. Incidentally, in the year "2000," NASA did publish information on its "Earth Observatory website" regarding this and the “Milankovitch Climate Theory.”
Milankovitch hypothesised that the long-term, collective effects of changes in Earth's position relative to the Sun were a strong driver of Earth's "long-term climate" and was therefore responsible for triggering the beginning and end of "glaciation periods" (Ice Ages), something I will be covering later in this book.
The Tower of Babel
Not since sometime before 2,100 BCE when the infamous Tower Of Babel project led by “Nimrod” has mankind tried to reach the heavens with any kind of success . . . Until—1957.
What happened back then in 1957 reminds me of a passage in the Bible...
Genesis 11:1: Now the whole world has one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the "heavens" so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scatteredover the face of the whole earth.” 5 “But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If one people speaks the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.” 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
What was God's reaction in 1957—When after nearly 6,000 years, “humans” finally did reach the “heavens?”
