NUMBER 11—More fireworks from 'GIANT SUNSPOT AR3615' which produced another X-class flare—The 11th X-class flare so far in 2024 as Solar Cycle 25 moves toward its climax probably next year!

Yesterday we witnessed more fireworks from 'GIANT SUNSPOT AR3615' which produced another X-class flare peaking at 20:56 UTC (Mar 28). Signs suggest no threatening coronal mass ejection (CME) will cause any damage to our magnetosphere. However, as the large sunspot cluster continues toward the southwest limb away from Earth it appears to be still growing. NASA is predicting a 75% chance of M-class flares and a 25% chance of X-class flares in the coming 48-hour period.

Yesterday morning giant sunspot AR3615 caused quite a stir in my house. I have recently downloaded a Magnetometer to my telephone to monitor solar flares.
Because there was a chance of flares yesterday I turned on the app, but, to my horror, as I turned it on—An alarm, sounded something like the 'Purge' screamed from my phone. I almost threw the phone at the wall and blurted out a profanity in shock! After a split second, I managed to gather what was left of my sanity and looked at my phone. The normal green numbers on the app had turned to a sort-off day-glow orange and was flashing the number '233'. I quickly realised I was witnessing a flare. It turned out it was the C8.5-class flare. Fumbling and shaking I quickly tried to grab a screenshot—And I did but, the flare had quickly subsided and I recorded the number at 99, see the pic left. At the same time, my wife came running into my office to see what all the commotion was. I'll try and do better next time!

As giant sunspot AR3615 moves around the southwest limb of the Sun, Solar Cycle 25 is moving toward its climax which is probably next year, so far 2024 has produced many powerful flares and excitement. As the Sun heads toward a quiet spell some rather large sunspots appear to be emerging on the Eastern Limb, stay tuned.

Two more major quakes strike: A mag 6.7 and a mag 6.4 rattle Vanuata within 3 seconds of each other—Saturday's mag 7 which rocked Papua New Guinea is mysteriously removed by USGS—WHY?

USGS

After a considerable lull in major quake reports, (mag 6 or higher) major seismic activity is slowly waking up—Why? We can't say it's because of all the solar activity because when solar activity was at its busiest, major seismic activity was in Slumberland. We are now in a solar activity pause and major seismic activity is waking up! Now, if we only knew why!

Two very powerful, shallow major quakes struck the Vanuatu Region within 3 seconds of each other early this morning—A mag 6,7 and a mag 6.4 recording the 8th and 9th major quake, (mag 6 or higher) this month. This is a considerable uptick compared to last month when only 4 were recorded.

I would like to bring to your attention an annoying habit from USGS which constantly destroys any graphs or data spreadsheets made by Joe Public. Last week on the 24th I was alerted by USGS of 'two' very powerful earthquakes a magnitude of 7.0 and, just 3 minutes later a magnitude of 6.9 had rocked central Northern Papua just 3 minutes apart! USGS had a map on their website showing the two major quakes, see below.

I have added the text but, you can clearly see, that USGS was reporting two major quakes. Well, two days later, the Mag 7 quake has been removed from their data and maps altogether, it never happened.

Historical earthquake data is constantly being altered on the USGS website, and that's official—According to USGS, this is because they are continuously updating earthquake data and information to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date. But, what they don't say is—that 99% of the data they are altering is from as far back as 1900 and up to the 1970s, how can they be finding accurate and up-to-date information from events which happened decades ago?

They go on to say, that updates to earthquakes occur as more data become available for analysis and more time-intensive analysis is performed. Additional updates are possible as part of the standard procedure of assembling a final earthquake catalogue. Well, I could understand this logic if they were receiving extra data from recent seismic events but what kind of data are they receiving from quakes which happened more than a hundred years ago?

They also add earthquakes are also sometimes removed from the listing, they say but these are false alarms that can occur when relying on an automated system that is trying to get the data out as quickly as possible. Ok, but what about the hundreds of quakes which have been added?

I originally built The Big Wobble website to follow the prophetic warnings of Jesus Christ written in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. So following the increase in major quakes was a must, which I have been doing diligently for nearly years now.

But how can any of us keep an accurate record of seismic events if the world's leading quake experts keep changing data from decades ago at the drop of a hat? And why would they change historical data anyway?

A couple of years ago, for the third time since 2013 arduously downloaded every major quake (mag 6 or higher) from 1900 to today and added the USGS data to a graph to enable an easy and perspective view of the increase in major quakes from the last 123 years.

The reason I have undertaken this day-long task is that I had heard on another website, that USGS had altered its data (once again!). You can not believe my disappointment, the data has indeed been tampered with again for the third time in 9 years.

In 2013 I downloaded every major quake, mag 6 or higher onto a graph from the USGS website. I did it once again in 2019 because I noticed the data had changed? How, and more importantly why I never got to know, despite writing to them.

After a tip-off from Prophecy Watchers, I decided to do the whole task once more, I'm devastated but yes, they have changed the data once again, this time from 2019 of course. Below is a section of the new graph:

The new graph, Dec 28 2022, above is showing more than 120 years of major quakes, however, look below and see the alterations in data (earthquake numbers, added or taken away) since the same graph I made in 2019, seen below:

Now, look at the two graphs above and compare them with the original graph I made back in 2013! The two above are completely different to each other but also the original graph I made back in 2013, this one looks completely different, see below:

Below is a screengrab showing the date the second graph was made: You can clearly read the date stamp, Jan 2019.

Below is a map from the USGS website from 2019 showing all the major quakes (mag 6 or higher) around the world from 1900 to 1917 showing a total of 97.

However, if you do the same search today on the USGS website, more than 600 major quakes have been added and others were taken away?

Why would so many major quakes have been added? What is going on?

I have sent a message to USGS, see below:

I am a blogger following the increase in major quakes from data on your site which I have been doing diligently for more than 10 years now. I have today for the third time since 2013 arduously downloaded every major quake (mag 6 or higher) from 1900 and added the USGS data to a graph to enable an easy and perspective view for my viewers of the increase in major quakes from the last 123 years.
The reason I have undertaken this day-long task is that I had heard on another website, USGS had altered its data recently (once again!). You can not believe my disappointment, the data has indeed been changed again.
In 2013 I downloaded every major quake, mag 6 or higher onto a graph from the USGS website. I did it once again in 2019 because I noticed the data had changed. After the tip-off from a friend I did the whole task once more today I found hundreds of major quakes have been added (and some taken away) from 1900 to 1976, can you tell me why? I'm devastated because I wrote a book regarding the 2019 data from your site and now the data has entirely changed, why?

Hopefully, this time I will receive a reply. . .

I will of course let you all know how it is possible for a United States Government website to continually cook the books!

Here is an answer from "Karen" Peterson representing USGS:

Hello,

The USGS is continuously updating earthquake data and information and to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date. (From more than a hundred years ago?)

Updates to earthquakes occur as more data become available for analysis and more time-intensive analysis is performed. Additional updates are possible as part of the standard procedure of assembling a final earthquake catalog. (But it will never be final if you keep on changing archive numbers from so long ago, and what data can you be assembling from hundreds of quakes decades ago?)

Earthquakes are also sometimes removed from the listing, but these are false alarms that can occur when relying on a automated system that is trying to get the data out as quickly as possible. (I doubt that very much, not from an event that happened years ago!)

For more information about earthquake updates and why earthquakes are added or deleted from the earthquake maps and lists, you can visit the following websites:
https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/whywhen-does-usgs-update-magnitude-earthquake
https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/why-do-some-earthquakes-disappear-maplist

If you have further questions, you can contact the Earthquake Hazards Team at: eq_questions@usgs.gov

Thank-you,
Karen Peterson.

Well, there you have it, Ms Peterson didn't really answer the question did she?

X MARKS THE SPOT! 2024—More Signs and Wonders to shake a stick at! DEVIL'S COMET—US Solar Eclipse Forms Second Leg of OccultX! A SUN goes Nova! X-class flares on the rise!

Signs and Wonders! A true wonder, jaw-droppingly gorgeous—Comet Pons-Brooks—License James Pierce which could be seen by the naked eye during the total eclipse in April!

'DEVIL COMET'

People in the US on the path of the eclipse during totality should be able to see it with the naked eye. Last year it became known as the 'DEVIL COMET' when last summer it released substantial gas and dust, leading to a dramatic increase in brightness—by a factor of about 100 almost overnight. This was the first outburst in 69 years, and as of November last year, the comet has erupted a further four times.

Total Eclipse. Credit NASA

Scientists, Astronomers, Religious Leaders and Citizens are all excited and agitated and many are possibly getting a little imaginative about the facts regarding the total eclipse of the Sun which will traverse a great swathe of territory in the US starting in Southern Texas all the way up to Maine in a couple of weeks. The event is certainly catching the imagination.

For instance, someone commented on my site this morning, I won't mention his name:
All of these signs in the sky are just leading up to THE Sign in the Sky of the Millennium! April 8, 2024 - The Great North American Eclipse! Judgement Day!—And a few days later, the meeting of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, something which has only happened THREE times since Jesus was murdered! Once in the 1100s, right before the Crusades started to fail for lack of Faith! Once in 1858, right before the un-righteous war against the Southern States! Once in 1941, right before America waged illegal and immoral war against Germany and Japan! He goes on—On April 8, America is “crossed off”! And it will cease to exist soon after!

Hawkeye reported this morning:

The seemingly correct connection between these solar storms and earthquakes that Gary consistently reports on is now looming on America's coming solar eclipse on 4/8/24. Keep an eye on this one too Gary! News is hyping it up and at least 2 states here are advising residents to stock up on basics from the grocery store due to an influx of visitors to those states that are coming to view the total eclipse of the sun on April 8. Well, that advisory seems a bit lame to me because the numbers of visitors reported is not so overwhelming sounding to a girl who resides in a high tourism state, [Florida] but who knows!

Then there are some prophecy news organizations pointing out that the eclipse forms a big X over the New Madrid fault line the viewing states are on or near. Thought it might be possible the eclipse could trigger a quake if indeed solar anomaly"side effects" do in fact trigger earthquakes.?? There will be about 5 minutes of complete darkness in those viewing states at the height of the eclipse, the rest of the country is supposed to see about 1/3 of totality. The sun darkened. Hey, it's a prophecy folks! Could this eclipse be it? It's probably more likely to be a cover for something else that could ocurr on that day, you know, like look over there while we go over here? Food for thought if nothing else!

It certainly is Hawkeye, a great day for a national cover-up, indeed and thanks for the heads-up!

"X" Marks the spot!

Credit NASA

Monzo Gonzales of Prophecy Watchers, released a video earlier today. He's been planning to see this eclipse after he saw the other eclipse in 2017. He's saying X marks the spot, the place where the two eclipses will form an X of course, which is Carbondale. Monzo lived in Illinois for a while and he claims there are massive amounts of misinformation flying around, he says people are predicting our Sun will go nova, destroying the world.

Alexis Catz, she wrote a book where she documented all 350 cities having Biblic or political names where the eclipse will pass, such as Rapture Township, which is in Southern Indiana for instance. One of the last three cities that it's going through is called Moscow and Russia and Burnt Church. We need a Magog and a Gog for a full house!

Well, if we survive this one—The longest solar eclipse ever seen during the last 10,000 years be visible for about 6 minutes and 23 seconds in 2027, the one in the US next month will last about 3 minutes 28 seconds.

Credit NASA.

In 2029 an asteroid named Apophis will pass very close to Earth, (Apophis means 'Serpent' in Greek mythology) less than 35,000 km, but, according to NASA there is a 2.5% Apophis will collide with Earth . . . Could this be Wormwood mentioned in A Revelation To John?

In 2040 after a 432-year wait, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon will all come together in a straight line and will be visible with the naked eye. . .

There is one Sun, however, which will be going, Nova!

Signs and Wonders—Aye, they're coming thick n' fast, that's for sure! Here's one to get your head around—It may have happened already, or maybe not yet, but it will. A star system, located 3,000 light-years away from Earth, did, will or has, gone Novah and we will see it soon because it will be visible to the unaided eye—It's called T Coronae Borealis, or T CrB, and its last explosion was way back in 1946 when the US was exploding little buckets of sunshine all over the place! but—Astronomers believe it will go Novah again between February and September 2024 and we will be able to see it, according to NASA.

We may or may not be about to be thrust northwards or southwards when our Sun goes Novah on April 8—Causing the Earth to stagger and sway like a drunkard as it trembles into a pole shift and creating the last great earthquake—The one mentioned in the Bible, yes! When every mountain and island is shifted from their positions. . . It will happen one day, why not April the 8th 2024? And why not, 2024 has already delivered a plethora of X-class flares as Solar 25 enters its solar maximum in the coming months, as I said, it has to happen and of course, it will.

Saltwater 'WEDGE'—Officials racing to avert large-scale water crisis! As the largest river in the US reaches record low-levels Louisiana sea levels are rising— Creating perfect perfect setting for saltwater intrusion in the Mississippi!

Since this past summer, saltwater has been slowly moving up the Mississippi River from the ocean in a natural process known as saltwater intrusion, appearing in the drinking water of local residents. With a major city, New Orleans, just miles upstream, officials are racing to avert a large-scale water crisis, though progress has been slow. In this article, we take a look at how this crisis arose and what can be done to contain it as well as avoid similar events from happening in the future.

Saltwater has been invading the Mississippi River from the Gulf of Mexico over recent months, posing a major threat to public health in the New Orleans area. This summer, residents in the river delta basin region south of New Orleans began to notice saltwater in their tap water and pipes. The issue persisted for months, making national headlines and prompting state and federal declarations of emergency. The Mississippi River—the second-longest river in the United States—runs across nearly the entire north-to-south length of the country, passing through ten states before flowing into the Gulf of Mexico through Southeast Louisiana. The river’s massive size is typically sustained by substantial yearly rainfall across the middle of the country, as well as waters from its tributary rivers like the Ohio and Missouri rivers.

When at its normal levels, the river water can pass undeterred all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Yet raging droughts over the last year have seen water levels fall drastically (in fact they fell so much that a 1915 shipwreck of a trade vessel was discovered in shallow waters last year). Without the river sustaining its high mass and velocity, saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico has been able to start pushing upstream in a process known as saltwater intrusion.

What Is Saltwater Intrusion?

Far underground, water permeates the ground beneath an invisible line called the water table. At levels this deep, the water saturation is dense enough that water can easily be drawn from the ground via springs or wells. These regions of the underground are called aquifers, and they make up the vast majority of the global freshwater supply. Saltwater intrusion occurs when saltwater from the ocean slowly moves into and occupies space in freshwater systems like rivers and aquifers. While the ground layers beneath the land are usually full of fresh water, the ground beneath the oceans is salty. When these underground freshwater and saltwater layers meet, they push against each other, and this is where saltwater intrusion can occur.

Since saltwater is far denser than freshwater, it usually exerts greater pressure and naturally encroaches inland. This process can be further accelerated when the freshwater levels in the ground deplete, often a consequence of aquifer over-pumping or river dredging, as well as climate-caused factors like droughts and sea level rise. Rivers pose a unique risk as they allow a way for saltwater to reach areas further inland, which is what is happening in the Mississippi River.

Because of an extreme lack of rainfall in the midwestern and southern US, the Mississippi River’s volume has dropped significantly. In fact, the river reached record low levels just last year. In addition, sea levels around Louisiana have been steadily rising at a rate of one inch (2.54 cm) every two years since 1950. These two factors craft the perfect setting for saltwater intrusion, as the river no longer has its usual mass to force the saltwater back as it empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Saltwater is then slowly able to force its way upstream along the very bottom of the river in what is known as a saltwater “wedge.” As it travels up the river, it acquires ready access to infiltrate inland aquifers and seep into community water systems.

What Are the Dangers of Saltwater Intrusion?

When consumed, saltwater can have serious adverse effects on the body. The system is put at major risk, and resulting complications (like hypertension) can lead to more critical issues like heart attacks and strokes. Other bodily systems are at risk too, such as the kidneys, digestive system, and even skin defects, which can arise from washing clothes or showering with salt-contaminated water. Saltwater intrusion also harms local biodiversity and the environment. As saltwater penetrates rivers and aquifers, it introduces salinity levels far too high for many plant and animal species to survive in. Vegetation is crippled and many animal habitats are disturbed, leading to the displacement and disruption of balanced food chains.

It is not just the local area of the intrusion that is affected. Saltwater can significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions through its accelerated decomposition of peat, a natural material that sequesters carbon in high concentrations. As peat decomposes, carbon is released into the atmosphere. This contributes to rising temperatures and climate events like droughts and sea level increases, which are the prime conditions for more saltwater intrusion to occur. The situation in Louisiana has also exposed another major issue plaguing New Orleans and much of the rest of the US:

lead pipe infrastructure.

Lead pipes were frequently used in the first part of the 20th century to build up public and private water systems, though they are now of course widely known to pose a major risk to public health. Saltwater is much more corrosive than freshwater and, when it gets into water systems, it can easily corrode lead pipes, which leeches toxic substances into drinking water. New Orleans, like many other cities, does not even know exactly where all of its lead pipe infrastructure is located across the city. In 2021, the Biden administration pushed Congress to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and a major portion of that law aims to replace all lead pipes in the country within the next decade.

Billions of dollars are packed into the law in hopes to revitalize and modernize the country’s infrastructure. However, it is a race against the clock, as saltwater waits for no one and the public’s health is at stake. How Are Officials Addressing the Situation? The US Army Corps has carried millions of gallons of fresh water to affected communities via barge, blending it with the river to reduce the salt content and freshen the water in treatment plants. Plans have also been put in place by a few municipal areas to construct pipelines to import freshwater from sources further inland. New Orleans had a $200 million pipeline planned for construction, but these plans have been tabled for now as the saltwater’s progress has significantly slowed in recent weeks.

Efforts like these provide immediate relief to affected areas but they are quite expensive and only temporary solutions, and can contribute to the problem in the long run by over-pumping water in other areas. A major construction technique employed by the US Army Corps of Engineers is to prevent (or at least slow down) saltwater intrusion by constructing water sills on the river floor. These are ground barriers (think underwater levees), designed to impede the saltwater wedge progressing upstream along the bottom of the river. Before this year, sills had been built four other times in the Mississippi River, in 1988, 1999, 2012, and 2022. However, this year the saltwater progression has been so strong that it overtopped last year’s sill construction. Alterations have since been made to strengthen them against the progression of the salt, a move that has, so far, been successful in keeping the saltwater from reaching New Orleans. Also helping slow the progression are large natural holes along the bottom of the river, for the extremely dense saltwater must fill these holes before progressing further upstream.

Is it Possible to Remove the Salt From Saltwater?

Desalination is another possible, yet controversial, solution to saltwater crises. There are a variety of methods that remove salt from water, the most common form being solar desalination, where saltwater evaporates and then later falls back to the earth as rain. Apart from this natural process, humans have developed a few mechanistic techniques to generate freshwater from saltwater. The first large-scale evaporator was built in Kuwait in 1951, and since then, the technology has advanced, resulting in the increased construction of desalination plants all over the world, especially over the last two decades. Desalination is most commonly used in the Arabian Peninsula, nearly 6 billion gallons of saltwater are pumped from the ocean each day to meet a majority of the countries’ freshwater demand.

The US is in the process of constructing more and more desalination plants, though often to significant public backlash. Desalination plants are expensive and energy-intensive, consuming vast amounts of electricity and emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere at rates at the level of tens of thousands of cars. These plants also disturb local habitats and biodiversity, not just because their construction disrupts local species, but also because of their waste discharge. The recovery ratio for desalinated water is inefficient, with only one litre of water produced for every 1.5 litres of its waste, a briny discharge. This discharge is not only extremely high in salt content, but it also contains chemicals like chlorine, copper, and other potentially toxic agents used in the desalination process.

There are a few different procedures to conduct desalination; some common forms are electrodialysis, evaporation, and reverse osmosis. Reverse osmosis filters are currently being deployed in water treatment plants in the affected Louisiana communities, and it appears desalination will continue to grow as a popular global freshwater solution. Governments and corporations must put more effort into regulating the technology so that it is deployed in the most clean, equitable, and efficient way possible.

What Is the Outlook on the Situation?

Officials no longer expect New Orleans to be significantly impacted by the saltwater intrusion, however, a few more nearby parishes downstream do expect saltwater to penetrate their water supply by late November. While it looks like drastic consequences will be avoided in the large metropolitan area of New Orleans, thousands of people have been and will continue to be impacted. Questions have been raised regarding the amount of dredging that the Army Corps of Engineers has conducted in the Mississippi River over the last century. Over-pumping and dredging are known to create unstable conditions that lead to aquifer depletion and contamination, but economic priorities have seen public health risks ignored in the service of other goals. These ongoing events act as a forewarning to other coastal regions on the dangers of saltwater intrusion, which is far-reaching throughout the country, but are also a reflection of the overall groundwater crisis impacting much of the world today. Responsible management of the nation’s water systems is critical moving forward if crises like that in the Mississippi River are to be mitigated in the future.

The Strongest Geomagnetic Storm Since September 2017 Cracks Open Our Planets Defensive Barrier—The Magnetosphere Causing a Severe G4-class Geomagnetic Storm With Solar Winds Reaching Nearly 900 KM Per Second!

Credit NASA Solar Dynamics.

The incredible speed of yesterday's CME solar wind was associated with the X1.1 flare which was ejected on March 23rd. . .

Last night's geomagnetic storm arrived as promised, however, it struck much earlier than the experts had predicted and was possibly much stronger than they anticipated! The massive impact from the Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) travelling at almost 1,000 km per second at one point punched open a crack in our planet's defensive barrier, namely, the magnetosphere. The CME caused a severe G4-class geomagnetic storm—the strongest since Sept. 2017.

Above is a graph from NOAA showing the incredible speed of yesterday's CME solar wind associated with the X1.1 flare which was ejected on March 23rd. . .

Geomagnetic storms have become more common over the past year as the sun reaches its maximum phase of its solar cycle, which sees more particles fly toward the Earth. The solar cycle defines the sequence in which the celestial body’s magnetic field flips every 11 years. The current event, Solar Cycle 25, began in 2019 and could last until 2030 and is expected to peak next year.

Just like a London Bus—They don't show and then two come at once! A very powerful magnitude of 7.0 and, just 3 minutes later a magnitude of 6.9 rocked central Northern Papua just 3 minutes apart!.

Just like a London Bus—They don't show, and then two come at once! On Friday I asked the question—Where have all the major quakes gone after only the 6th major quake (mag 6 or higher) of March 2024 was recorded. Two days later, two show up simultaneously! A very powerful magnitude of 7.0 and, just 3 minutes later a magnitude of 6.9 rocked central Northern Papua.

No Tsunami Warning, Advisory, Watch, or Threat have been issued.

Another coincidence. . .

Yesterday two sunspots simultaneously exploded on our Sun releasing a very powerful X-class flare and launching a CME toward Earth TWINS. Today, it's two very powerful major quakes (mag 6 or higher) catching the news—These two quakes happened within 3 minutes of each other!

This morning's seismic activity produced the 7th and 8th major quake (mag 6 or higher) of March 2024. There have been no reports of damage so far. It brings the total number of major quakes (mag 6 or higher) so far this year to 24. At the same time last year 33 had been recorded while in 2022, at the same time, 39 had been recorded. It is early days of course. . .

"SIGNS AND WONDERS!"—The phenomenon is called a 'sympathetic solar flare' or 'TWINS'. Two Monster Sunspots Duke It Out! Early this morning AR3615 picked a fight with its neighbour Sunspot AR 3614 producing an X-class flare!

Credit NASA Solar Dynamics.

The sun just produced a solar flare so strong, it took two sunspots to make it.

The very large and broken-up Sunspot AR3615 has been looking for a fight all week ejecting numerous powerful M-class flares. Early this morning it picked a fight with its neighbour Sunspot AR 3614 and lost! The two sunspot regions (AR 3614 and 3615) produced solar flares at almost the same time this morning. AR 3614 appears to have delivered the knock-out blow. A double blast like this is known in the astronomy world as 'twins' or a 'sympathetic solar flare'.

According to Spaceweather.com—The collective X1.1 X-ray event peaked at 01:33 UTC (Mar 23). The event around AR 3614 appears to be the brighter of the two and coronal dimming originating from 3614 is clearly evident meaning a coronal mass ejection (CME) will be likely.

Left, 'TWINS', credit, Solarsoft—Two sunspot regions (AR 3614 and 3615) just produced solar flares at nearly the same time. The collective X1.1 X-ray event peaked at 01:33 UTC (Mar 23). The event around AR 3614 appears to be the brighter of the two and coronal dimming originating from 3614 is clearly evident meaning a coronal mass ejection (CME) will be likely, according to Solar Ham.

Last month, giant sunspot AR3590 certainly lived up to its hype. . . The colossus sunspot group produced three very powerful X-class flares peaking at approximately 17:34 EST on Feb. 22, 2024. The X6.3 flare was the largest of the three X-class flares and the strongest of this solar cycle as well as the largest since September 2017—Are we going to see something even bigger in the coming days from sunspot groups AR 3614 and 3615?

Solar Cycle 25 is moving toward its climax which probably is next year, so far 2024 has produced many powerful flares and excitement which can not be said about the seismic activity here on Earth, which is undoubtedly a good thing, however, the general opinion among scientists is strong quakes (major quakes) are growing rapidly. That is truly not the case this year as major quakes, (mag 6 or higher) are well down on previous years—That's a good thing, right? Or is it the calm before the storm scenario? Scientists have recently claimed that increased solar activity causes increasing seismic and volcanic activity here on Earth—Buckle up folks!
