Marching On Together

Marching On Together I have had a romance with a lady since my childhood just like thousands of other people around the world who are also in love with her. I have remained in love with her through the many bad times and the few good times, my love for her has never faltered and never will. My lady's name is Leeds United and she is just five games away from returning to the English Football Premiership, after sixteen years in the football wilderness. In the sixties, seventies and early nineties my lady was known as "Super Leeds," however in 2003, my love was relegated from the English Football Premiership due to financial miss-handling by her owners. "Super Leeds," dropped down to the third tier of English football. If Leeds United can grab ten points from their last five games my lady will be back where she belongs in the higher echelons of English football and I can once more embrace my love with happiness.

Leeds 5 v 0 Stoke, 7 points needed from 4 games...

A total of almost a 1,000 quakes, (174 yesterday) have now rocked the Southern Californian city of Ventura in the last 7 days.
A number of earthquakes with magnitude above 3 have occurred in this cluster of events near Ventura, the largest being M3.6: M3.6, 08 Nov 2019 05:29:38 PST, (34.278, -119.287), depth 11.5km, 6km W of Ventura, California
M3.4, 07 Nov 2019 05:05:39 PST, (34.276, -119.294), depth 14.6km, 6km W of Ventura, California M3.4, 08 Nov 2019 04:10:12 PST, (34.266, -119.290), depth 11.4km, 6km W of Ventura, California M3.2, 07 Nov 2019 04:58:41 PST, (34.274, -119.290), depth 11.4km, 6km W of Ventura, California M3.2, 08 Nov 2019 05:37:20 PST, (34.274, -119.290), depth 11.3km, 6km W of Ventura, California

According to SCSN, the Event Cluster Summary as of 08 Nov 2019, 08:11AM PST, there have been approximately 60 events recorded in this cluster. The smallest is M0.8, 5 have been of M≥3 and 16 of M≥2. More aftershocks to the larger events may be expected in the next few days, the largest expected is approximately 1 magnitude unit smaller than the mainshock. There is a small chance (about 5%) that a larger quake could occur, with the likelihood decreasing over time. The largest shaking intensity recorded by our instruments for the M3.6 earthquake was MMI IV, light shaking.

Historical Seismicity Since our records began in 1932 we’ve had 2 events of M4 or greater within 10km of today’s event. The largest historic event was M4.8 on 18 Mar 1957. The most recent historic event was M4.3 on 24 Jul 2004.

In July a swarm of almost 12,000 quakes rocked Southern California in 7 days and around 1,600 quakes rumbled in the Ridgecrest area of Southern California on July the 12th, which is consistent with the previous day, however, one of them was a magnitude 4.9, the strongest there for a few days, see below.

According to the La Times, 649 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centred nearby.
The aftershocks were powerful enough to cause strong shaking.
The quakes were strong enough to wake some people in downtown Los Angeles and were felt as far away as Bakersfield, Death Valley and Orange County. In the 7 days from the 6th of July to the 12th, 11,197 had been recorded in the volatile area.
