How Can Basketball Save The World? Well, it can't can it? The UN's latest idea for world peace is, please don't laugh—Basketball! How about telling us the truth for once about how bad the world really is instead of feeding us this kind of garbage?

In the words of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, "Peace is a noble and necessary pursuit, and the only practical pathway to a better, fairer world for us all."—Yawn. . . These, are the words which would send any healthy-minded human being to sleep while listening to an elitist gentleman, rambling along, spouting meaningless rhetoric about how they are striving to create our world into how it should be, but, never mentioning how it really is—We have in fact heard this meaningless pomposity a million times before, and we will hear it another million times before this crock-of-s#it is over.

Mr Guterres, most of us are aware WWIII could be just around the corner. And we can see and feel our planet is in the last throes of survival as it storms, burns, drowns, freezes and suffers from thirst, starvation and poison, we can see society and the environment are collapsing—C'mon let's have some honesty from you people.

Instead ladies and Gents, we get this—The UN's latest idea for world peace is, please don't laugh—Basketball!

YES! Peace, Dignity and Equality on a Healthy Planet, the UN's message on their sexy logo can be achieved by "BASKETBALL!"

In a video to WWLP-22News, Dr. David Hollander, who wrote the book, 'How Can Basketball Change The World' and who represented the UN yesterday, explains his vision of a peaceful world if only. . . We all discovered basketball!
"I can walk onto a basketball court, with a group of strangers, not knowing anyone and imediatly begin to findways to get to know each other." He goes on—"Eye contact, peripheral vision, a scense of being with others, then, after leaving that space feeling more connected." He has a poingnant pause. . . "Feeling less alone. And, almost with tears in his eyes—"The message here today is to take pride for the invention of the game of Basketball. See video below.

Yesterday, for the first time, The United Nations hosted the 'celebrations' of World Basketball Day.

For the inaugural celebration of World Basketball Day on 21 December 2023, the global impact of basketball takes centre stage. Like other sports, basketball transcends borders, cultures, and languages. It serves as a unifying force through which people from different backgrounds can come together, bond and communicate, creating connections and breaking down barriers, thereby contributing to peace. Together, let us champion the transformative power of sports in shaping a more harmonious and interconnected global community. Happy World Basketball Day!

However—Can Basketball Save The World? Don't be silly!
