Major quakes appear to be on the increase in 2019 with 44 recorded up to April the 30th: 32 more than the same period 100 years ago

USGS: Note most of the major quakes this year have occurred around the Pacific Ring Of Fire, see map.

Major quakes appear to be on the increase in 2019 with 44 recorded up to April the 30th, 7 more than 2018 in the same period and 18 more than in 2017.
In the same period one hundred years ago a total of 12 major quakes were recorded, 32 less than this year so far.
April 2019 delivered a total of 14 major quakes with the largest being the magnitude  6.8 - Luwuk, Indonesia.
April 2018 delivered a total of just 7 major quakes.
April 2017 delivered a total of just 7 major quakes.
From January the 1st 2019 to April the 30th 2019 a total of 44 major quakes have been recorded.
From January the 1st 2018 to April the 30th 2018 a total of 37 major quakes were recorded globally.
From January the 1st 2017 to April the 30th 2017 a total of just 26 major quakes, 2017 proved to be the lowest number of major quakes in a single year since the 1980s with just 111 recorded for the whole year.
From January the 1st 1919 to April the 30th 1919 a total of 12 major quakes were recorded globally.

An increase in detected earthquake numbers does not necessarily represent an increase in earthquakes per se.
Population increase, habitation spread, and advances in earthquake detection technology all contribute to higher earthquake numbers being recorded over time.

Lol... Wicked pedia spin talk to distract from this truth. This report is just major quakes over 5 or 4? The real truth is there are and have been for the past seven or so years, been roughly 150 quakes per day everyday on Earth compared to techno history of quakes worldwide. USG is beginning to surpress those reports by either not posting a quake or removing the post quickly from their lists.
It is very interesting to read the 'I felt it' comments on some of the shaking. But it doesn't necessarily mean the shaking is relevant just because hundreds of people say what they feel is troubling or really happening. It is all that population increase making it seem like there are quakes in places with abnormal frequencies of them.
"Earthquakes in divers places".... Just one more sign our Lord is high.
    Thanks for the info Gary!

  3. Welcome Hawkeye, back in 2014 I used the USGS site archive to map all major quakes (mag 6 or higher) from 1900 to 2014, see here, https://www.thebigwobble.org/2016/06/large-earthquakes-have-risen-by-over.html And found major quakes had increased by an incredible 400% since 1900. I did the exact search again in 2017 and found USGS had added nearly 2,000 major quakes since my original search? Look, https://www.thebigwobble.org/2017/04/have-united-states-geological-survey.html

  4. Yes Gary! Thanks for that info. It seems God is shaking things to wake people up. The "divers places" (various places) strangely include my home town in SWFL. Incredibly we had a quake off our west coast, epicenter in the Gulf of Mexico, about three years ago measuring over a 5! I felt it, my coworkers felt it and it sounded like an explosion. At first that is what we all thought it was. Windows rattled.
So, I'm thinking many if not most of these worldwide places shaking that normally do not, is happening from methane explosions. Seems to fit when you dig for info. Our local news, nbc-2.com did report it was a quake of about 5.4 mag strength which is how I found out it wasn't an explosion that day. That one for us I am convinced was a methane explosion causing the quake. An earthquake in FL is unprecedented as far as I know!
